We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which it was collected. If we need to use your data for a materially different purpose, we will notify you and, where required, seek your consent.
We never:
Sell your personal data to third parties. Use your data for unsolicited marketing. Share your email address with advertisers. Build personal profiles for commercial targeting.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

- Contractual necessity — if you engage us for services or collaboration, we process data necessary to fulfil that relationship.
- Legal obligation — we may process data where required to comply with applicable law.
Where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — we share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the website (e.g. email delivery, analytics, hosting). These providers are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Protection of rights — we may disclose data where necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of AXVOI, our readers, or others.
- Business transfer — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
All third-party service providers we use are vetted for their data protection practices and are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Data Security
We take the security of your personal data seriously and have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Security measures we have in place include:
- HTTPS encryption (TLS) for all data transmitted between your browser and our website.
- Server-side environment variables for all sensitive credentials — no API keys or passwords are exposed in client-side code.
- WordPress backend hosted on a separate domain with restricted public access.
- Regular software updates and security patches for all website infrastructure.
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access personal data.
- Secure email transmission using SMTP with SSL/TLS encryption.
While we implement robust security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to protecting your data to the best of our ability.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals without undue delay.
